Disposition to sports cheating in young practitioners of sports and individual

Objective: To verify the degree of reliability of a questionnaire of disposition to
sports deception (CDED), when applied to university athletes from the city of Talca,
Chile.
Methods: 70 subjects (44 men and 26 women) from the sports teams branch of the
Catholic University of Maule, Talca (Chile), were studied in a non-probabilistic
manner for convenience. The subjects were given a survey that assesses the
disposition of sports cheating (CDED, Le et al).
Results: The internal consistency of the instrument was verified with a Cronbach's
alpha of 0.77; The CDED proved to be a reliable instrument and to have a high
degree of reproducibility. On the other hand there are significant differences in the
sub group of cunning and total of the instrument between sport types, individual and
collective.
