Abstract

ABSTRACT

Objective: To perform a comparative analysis of jump height with the CMJ test in professional soccer players from the Colombian league evaluated by force plates.

Methodology: A comparative study was conducted on 35 male professional soccer players from the first division of Colombia where their jump height was measured with the CMJ test (Counter Movement Jump) with VALD Performance force platforms.

Results: The evaluation was carried out on 35 professional soccer players divided as follows: goalkeepers n=4, central defenders n=5, lateral defenders n=5, midfielders n=9, forwards n=4 and wingers n=8 where general average jump height values of 39.9 cm ± 6.0 cm, minimum of 30.0 cm and maximum of 52.1 cm were obtained.

Conclusions: the goalkeepers recorded an average jump height of 42.6 cm ± 9.0 cm, minimum of 30.6 cm and maximum of 50.2 cm; central defenders an average jump height of 41.5 cm ± 8.2 cm, minimum of 30.4 cm and maximum of 52.1 cm; Side defenders have an average jump height of 40.6 cm ± 3.9 cm, minimum of 33.7 cm and maximum of 43.0 cm; Midfielders have an average jump height of 37.1 cm ± 5.4 cm, minimum of 30.0 cm and maximum of 43.7 cm; Strikers have an average jump height of 38.9 cm ± 0.9 cm, minimum of 37.9 cm and maximum of 39.7 cm and finally Wingers have an average jump height of 40.7 cm ± 6.3 cm, minimum of 31.0 cm and maximum of 52.1 cm. Additionally, force plates are a tool with high levels of reliability in the evaluation of kinetic and kinematic components of human body movement from the functional skills of sport.
