Each person, according to their own experiences throughout their growth, acquire different perceptions of quality of life QF, these are influenced by different contexts, in which the human being is inserted throughout their experience with social factors, cultural, personal values, aspirations, among other aspects1.
These perceptions are categorized according to the operational dimensions of the QF for people with intellectual disabilities. Among those that stand out are, for example, emotional well-being, material well-being, personal development, physical well-being, self-determination, rights, social inclusion and interpersonal relationships2.
Currently, there is a lot of scientific evidence on QF in these populations, however, there is little information regarding the relationships with other variables, especially with functional aptitude, since young people with intellectual disabilities who attend job training centers must reflect a adequate body composition and functional aptitude to perform successfully, not only in the workplace, but in the day to day of your daily activities.
In essence, obtaining this information is the task of researchers in various areas, who from the results could enable the improvement of the QF of young people with intellectual disabilities.
