Emotions and satisfaction in adults who play self-regulated soccer

Abstract

Objective: To assess emotions and satisfaction in adults who play self-regulated soccer in a community in Nobsa, Boyacá.

Methodology: A descriptive cross-sectional study. The population consisted of 319 people from the municipality of Nobsa, Boyacá, aged between 12 and 60 years. The sample was selected probabilistically.

Results: Mean age: 24.3 years (SD = 8.7). Gender: 58% women (n = 185), 42% men (n =134). The following emotions predominate: Joy (78%, intensity 4.2), Nervousness (62%, intensity 3.1), Anger.

Conclusion: The practice of self-regulated soccer among adults in Nobsa is associated with high levels of positive emotions, such as joy and tranquility, and with a high level of satisfaction.
