Abstract

Objective: Explain the periodization of long-form state.

Method: The Romanian Bompa since 1963 has structured several periodization models for various athletes from Romania and athletes from other nations. This long practice of prescribing periodization for high-performance competitors culminated in 1984 with the creation of the periodization of long-form state for the team sports.

Results: The periodization of long-form state the coach needs to train the team to develop three-shape state levels in each period so that the athletes achieve the maximum or submaximal peak in various championship matches. The periods used in the Bompa model are the preparatory period, the competitive period and the transition period. The training load of the model is classified as low (50 to 70%), medium (70 to 80%) and high (80 to 100%). The microcycles used in the periodization of long form state are a total of six.

Conclusion: Bompa's periodization is an interesting model for the collective sports games.
